Introduction

This project was intended to explore the issues and design challenges around mobile information systems. Starting at a Main Menu screen, we have designed interfaces that allow users to navigate information in the completion of Finding tourist sites to explore.

During this process we created a persona to drive the design process. This persona is a person with a strong need for accessing the specific information in a mobile context.
This was an information retrieval focused assignment. The assignment was to design a system that provide the relevant information easily based on the intent the
persona brings to the design situation.

Process

During the design process we developed
(i) a navigational map,
(ii) wire frames of screens documenting one or two scenarios of use, and
(iii) a flash demonstration of onscreen navigation following the scenarios.

Persona

David is a Sports agent. He thinks he’s 34 years old Wishes he graduated from Harvard Business School. Sometimes travels in a group, meets non-locals peoples. He has a girlfriend named Angela, for the last 7 years.

David travels all the time on business. Has a jam-packed schedule and doesn’t get a chance to plan. He wants to confidently find a hot spot to hang out in a new city and, wants to look good in front of his colleagues, clients and even Angela
